A regression testing checklist for AI agent agencies
Choose a small daily suite and deeper checks after changes, with explicit usage limits and human review.
Daily checks cover the costly failures
Start with booking creation, cancellation, rescheduling, unavailable slots and essential business facts. Prioritize the failures that lose appointments or mislead customers. Keep the suite small enough to investigate.
Changes deserve deeper coverage
When prices, hours, booking rules or the agent prompt change, review the facts and affected scenarios. Run a deeper suite after approval. Do not silently treat a proposed fact as the new truth.
Count unknowns separately
Distinguish failed checks, missing calendar evidence, provider errors and tests that never ran. Report coverage and review work alongside pass rate. No tests means no evidence, not 100 percent reliability.
Measure the service economics
Track call minutes, model usage, actual provider charges and investigation time. Reserve usage before execution, but remember that an internal estimate does not cap a provider invoice. Agree on volume and response times before selling unlimited monitoring.
